On January 27th, the eve of the feast day of our patron at ACI, St. Thomas Aquinas, we received word that our request for a radio transmitter construction permit had been approved! We were informed that this process can take up to three years and ours was approved in three months!
Given that the announcement came on the eve of Aquinas’ feast day, there is no doubt in our minds that this endeavor has a special providential blessing – God is with us. The good Lord has given us a sign of his favor. The philosophers of the Middle Ages had a saying, bonum est diffusivum sui et communicativum, which is translated as the “good is diffusive and communicative of itself.” This idea holds true in all things, from creation, to generation, to evangelization. We are now one step closer to communicating God’s goodness to the Dubuqueland area, but we still have a long way to go. With your help, we can make Catholic radio a reality for Dubuque.
You can help by keeping ACI in your prayers, spreading the word to others, and with the numerous expenses we will face, financial contributions.
St. Thomas wrote of providence that everything is ordered by God to a good end. The good God is certainly diffusing Himself with, and hopefully someday soon, through Aquinas Communications, Inc. Please pray for us!
Grant, oh Merciful Lord, that we may ardently desire, prudently examine, and faithfully accomplish what is pleasing to Thee, for the praise and glory of Thy name, AMEN.
